Deb Baughman began her first term as a Bedford County Commissioner in 2020 and has focused on the needs of rural families and communities. She resides in Liberty Township, Bedford County. Ms. Baughman retired from teaching in 2013 from the Cornwall-Lebanon School District after twenty-five
years. She holds a BS in Education from Lesley College and a MS in Education from Wilkes University.
In addition to working full-time as a Commissioner, Ms. Baughman serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission; The United Way of Bedford County; Bedford County Regional Education Foundation; and is an ex-officio board member of the Bedford
County Development Association. She also currently serves as chairperson of the Bedford County Airport Authority, the Bedford County Prison Board and The Bedford County Board of Elections.
Ms. Baughman and her husband, John, share a love of history and small-town life and are both active with local organizations. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
