Nate Kissell is a 1993 graduate of Forest Hill High School in Sidman PA. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering from Penn State University. From 1998 to 2015, he served in various roles at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. starting as a Construction Superintendent and most recently being General Manager of the Grading Department within the Heavy Highway Division.
In 2015, Nate started to work for the City of Altoona serving as the Director of Public Works. The Public Works Department includes Engineering, Highways, Parks, Street Lights and Traffic Signals, and Building Maintenance Divisions.
Nate has two children with his wife Melanie who is a Pre-K Teacher at the Chestnut Ridge School District. In his spare time, he is typically attending one of the kids sporting events or biking.
